Nathan embodied the spirit of showing kindness through his actions. Each Friday during lunch I open the gym at Cornerstone for the kids to come and play a game. Nathan would join in on a game every now and then. I enjoyed watching how he would quietly but intensely play, whether it be dodgeball or poison. He would always have good sportsmanship and most times I would see at least one kid look over at him and I could tell they were taking in how he was reacting to being out or losing and check their own outbursts. At the end of lunch he would quietly help to clean up the gym even if he wasn’t an assistant that day, the other kids would then follow suit. Nathan was a quiet leader through his actions and always showing his kindness by helping others.
